This letter provides new guidelines for FHA mortgagee Flood Zone requirements and updates mortgagee letter 2009-37. FHA now requires that all mortgages received a flood zone determination on all properties held strongly support such measures. In addition, FHA is now located in accordance with the Coastal Barrier Resources Act (CBRA) by prohibiting the FHA Mortgage Insurance properties located in designated coastal barriers.

New requirements

The new leadership in this letter contained mortgagee is as follows: The requirement that mortgage loans received life-of-flood zone determination for all properties that security for the FHA-insured mortgages.
